Emconn Tool Corporation was first incorporated in 1967 as Engineering Models, Inc. for the purpose of building visual and working prototypes of consumer products such as appliances, power tools, televisions, and other mass-market merchandise.  This experience provided the broad expertise required for working all types of metals and plastics.  In 1972, Engineering Models contracted with a manufacturer of electrical connectors to develop a new approach to the termination of its IDC solderless connectors, providing solid marketing back-up for its connector products in the telecommunication industry.

Today, Emconn has dedicated itself to serving the electronic connector industry.  Application tools with functions ranging from simple repair and maintenance to semi-automation are being developed to terminate discrete wire and ribbon cable to various connector products featuring Insulation Displacement Contact (IDC) technology.  Because Emconn has acquired a unique reputation for quality service, other opportunities evolved, such as the design and development of fiber-optic tooling, bandolier pin assembly, percussive welding, stripper-crimper technology, assembly equipment, and semi to fully automatic connector assembly machinery.

Our goal at Emconn Tool is to provide connector manufacturers and cable & harness assembly houses with application and assembly tools and machines while maintaining the utmost in security, confidentiality, quality and reliability in the design and manufacture of products
